Paediatric
Occupational Therapy

Melbourne

Compassionate, evidence-informed care integrating paediatric Occupational Therapy and child psychotherapy to support the emotional wellbeing, participation and development of children in the early years through to 8 years of age.

Hi, my name is Robyn. I am the Director of Little Lights Child Therapy and have had the privilege of supporting children and their families as a paediatric Occupational Therapist for more than 10 years.

In 2021, I completed a Master of Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, deepening my understanding of children’s emotional wellbeing and development. This advanced training complements my occupational therapy practice by enriching the way I understand each child’s unique experience and developmental journey.

Seeking to understand a child’s inner world and the relationships they share with their parents, caregivers, educators and other significant people is central to the way I work. I believe that when children feel understood, safe and connected, they are better able to engage, learn, grow and participate in everyday life.

My Personal Approach
to Therapy

Understanding a child’s inner world and the relationships they share with their parents, caregivers, educators and other significant people is central to the way I work. I believe that when children feel understood, safe and connected, they are better able to engage, learn, grow and participate in everyday life.

My Philosophy

  • Every child deserves to feel seen, understood and valued

  • Meaningful change occurs when we understand the whole child their strengths, relationships and everyday environments.

  • Relationships provide the foundation for healthy development, emotional wellbeing and learning.

  • Children learn best through play and when they are having fun. Play is a powerful pathway for connection, growth and participation.

  • Parents and caregivers are valued partners in their child’s development journey.
