Meet Robyn

Robyn is a highly experienced Paediatric Mental Health Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing and development of infants, toddlers and children up to 8 years of age. With over 10 years of experience working with children, she combines evidence-based practice with a warm, relationship-focused approach to help children thrive at home, in early learning settings and at school.

Robyn holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and Masters degree in Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from Monash University. She has also completed advanced training in early child development at the Royal Children’s Hospital through the University of Melbourne.

Throughout her career, Robyn has developed extensive experience supporting infants, preschool-aged children and primary school-aged children to 8 years of age. She works alongside families, educators and other professionals to understand each child’s unique strengths, challenges and developmental needs, creating practical and meaningful strategies that support participation in everyday life.

Robyn has a particular interest in early intervention and supports children within the environments where they live, learn and play—including home, childcare, kindergarten and school. Her collaborative approach ensures that parents, caregivers and educators feel confident, supported and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

As a registered Marte Meo Practitioner, Robyn is passionate about helping parents and caregivers recognise and build upon the strengths that already exist within their everyday interactions with their child. Through this relationship-based approach, she supports families to strengthen connection, enhance communication and promote children’s social, emotional and developmental growth.

Robyn has also been a member of the UNICEF Global Parent Program for the past eight years, reflecting her ongoing commitment to promoting nurturing relationships and positive parenting practices that support healthy child development.

My Approach

I believe every child deserves to feel understood, safe and connected.

Understanding a child's inner world and the relationships they share with their parents, caregivers, educators and other significant people is central to the way I work. When children experience secure, trusting relationships, they are better able to engage, learn, regulate their emotions, build confidence and participate more fully in everyday life.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and strengths-based. I work closely with families to understand not only the challenges a child may be experiencing, but also the unique strengths, interests and relationships that can be built upon throughout therapy.

Rather than focusing solely on behaviours or symptoms, I seek to understand what children are communicating through their feelings, play and behaviours. Together with parents and caregivers, we explore practical strategies that fit naturally into everyday routines, helping children develop the skills they need while strengthening the relationships that matter most.

My goal is to create a supportive space where children and families feel heard, respected and empowered working together to foster resilience, emotional wellbeing and meaningful participation in everyday life.
