Funding Options
A referral is not required to access Occupational Therapy services. Funding may be available through Medicare, the NDIS, private health insurance or other funding programs. If you are unsure which funding options may apply to your family, I am happy to discuss this with you.
NDIS
I provide Occupational Therapy services for children who have NDIS self-managed or plan-managed funding.
-
Following each therapy session, invoices are provided directly to parents or caregivers for payment.
-
Invoices are sent directly to your nominated plan manager, who manages payment on your behalf. During your initial appointment, I will guide you through the NDIS Service Agreement, explain how services will be delivered, and answer any questions you may have about using your child’s NDIS funding.
Medicare
Robyn is an approved Medicare Provider and endorsed under the Better Access for Mental Health Initiative.
-
Your GP can prepare a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) for Occupational Therapy. A Referral typically includes 6 sessions and is extendable to 10 individual sessions per calendar year.
Approximate rebate per session $80.
The rebate may increase if the Medicare Safety Net Threshold is reached.
-
Your GP can prepare a GPCCMP for 5 individual sessions per calendar year (sessions shared across all allied health i.e. shared with Speech Therapy if applicable).
Approximate rebate per session $50
The rebate may increase if the Medicare Safety Net Threshold is reached.
Private Health Insurance
Occupational Therapy services may be claimed through Private Health Insurance.
No referral is required.
Check with your insurer for coverage details and if you may be able to claim through extras cover.
Private Clients
Private-paying families are welcome.
